Specialty: I am a corn shuck artist, and a member of the Southern Highland Craft Guild. I create wildflowers that are botanically accurate using corn shucks. I also make corn shuck dolls, angels, wreaths, and mats. I am in the process of learning all the functional and creative things that were made in days gone bye - braiding for hats, pouches, horse halters, and all the other useful things that our mountaineer women did with corn shucks. Although I have brought corn shucks into the 21st century with my wildflowers, I intend on keeping the past corn shuck tradition alive as well. These things are much too important to lose.
